PyeongTaek International Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church

IMPORTANT: OUR CHURCH HAS MOVED!!! 😃

Our new church is within walking distance of the old church. To get to our new church you need to walk past the old church. If you have visited our church before I hope this doesn't confuse you. Just keep walking and following the directions below.

Directions to Church

PyeongTaek is about an hour south of Seoul if you are catching the express train. It's about two hours if you catch the ordinary train. I normally catch the Mugunghwa train from Seoul Station at 8:08am. The train number is 1207. The cost of a ticket is 4,900won, but if you wait till Sabbath morning to get your ticket you will probably only be able to get a standing ticket at 4,200won.

However there are many other ways to get to PyeongTaek, so I will start my directions from the train station in PyeongTaek. (At the bottom of these directions is the address in Korean and a map to help you.)

1. Come out of the station via exit 1 and walk to the lights, if you look backwards you will see this view.

2. Looking forward you will see this. Cross the road at the lights, you want to go down the road that is on the far left of this picture.

3. Now it is in the middle of the picture. The one with the big blue sign above the road.

4. Up close it looks like this.

5. Walk down the road on the right hand side until you get to the bus stop,

6. Catch the number 20 bus, it comes approximately every 10 minutes. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes. Now comes the hard part you want to get off the bus at this bus stop. It is bus stop number 15-442, - say "ahn jong yook lee ka jew se your" or just show the driver the picture and the name of the bus stop.

7. When you get off the bus walk backwards (up the hill) to the lights.

8. At the lights and turn left, the road you are walking down looks like this...

9. About 100 meters down the road you will see a building with these doors on the left hand side. This is our old church, just walk past.

10. Continue walking down the road for approximately 250 metres. You'll go over a hill, keep going until you come to a set of lights. The road looks like this.

11. At the lights turn right and walk for approximately 150 metres. On the left hand side of the road you will see the Brownstone Apartments, keep going.

13. On the right hand side of the road you will come to a building with a GS25 convenience store on the corner, our church is on the second floor of this building.

14. The entrance to the building is about 2/3 of the way along, just before you come to the zebra crossing. 

15. Take the elevator or stairs to the second floor. Coming out of the elevator/stairwell turn left. We are at the end of the hall.

And finally, this is a new area and Google Maps has not yet been updated to include it. However empty this looks, you WILL find our church here. (The English address is actually for the real estate agent who is in the same building as our church, so find her and you'll find us.)
